Happy Sunday, All!
One of the many fascinating aspects of Braille is the fact that, if one dot is missing or placed in a different position within the Braille cell, the entire meaning of the letter or word changes. This poem plays with that idea. In the pictures that accompany this post, which are taken directly from my Master's thesis poetry chapbook, which I handwrote in Braille, I hope it shows that my incredible Braille transcriber, who overwrote the Brailled lines of my poem in print, italicized or somehow highlighted certain words to indicate how similar they are to each other in Braille. My lovely wife took pictures of the Brailled pages, ... who says blind photography can't happen? :p For the purposes of the text below, I'll put the words that shift in all caps just to give you an idea. Blindies, y'all are on your own. If you read this poem in Braille, / if you're familiar with the Braille code, you've got this! Hope you enjoy! This poem was A LOT of fun to write!
Be back soon!
